3D Mammogram

Breast Cancer Early Detection
Mammograms play a central part in the early detection of breast cancer because they can detect changes in the breast that may be early signs of cancer, but are too small or subtle to be felt. The use of mammography has greatly enhanced the ability to detect breast cancers at earlier stages.

Ultrasound

Ultrasound is an excellent tool in several diagnostic situations, include: examining the fetus during pregnancy, visualizing certain gynecological functions in non-pregnant women, revealing information about tumors and cysts, evaluating the gallbladder and related organs, and for noninvasive evaluation of vascular disease.

All exams require an order from your health care provider.

    MRI

MRI stands for “magnetic resonance imaging.” It’s a non-invasive, revolutionary process that enables doctors to “see” right through bone as well as evaluate soft tissue inside your body, without surgery and without the radiation that is used in x-rays and CT scans.

    CT

Computerized Tomography (CT) combines a specialized x-ray machine and a computer to produce images one slice at a time, as if slicing a loaf of bread. The scan, completed while you lie on a table, is performed by a Radiologic Technologist from an adjoining room who you will communicate with through a speaker system. The procedure is painless and usually takes about thirty minutes. Once your scan is finished, the Technologist presents the cross-sectional, multi-dimensional images to the Radiologist for interpretation.

Have a Plan, Make A Kit, Stay Informed

If the COVID-19 pandemic response caught you and your family unprepared, you would not be alone. Who knew that toilet paper, paper towels, hand sanitizer, and other supplies would disappear from the shelves? Many people across the nation are re-thinking preparedness. While we can’t predict, foresee, or even afford to prepare for every possible scenario, you can take steps to prepare your family for most kinds of disasters by ensuring you have a plan, make a kit, and stay informed.

Preparedness is a way of life for many in North Idaho. But if you need help organizing a basic family emergency plan, emergency kits, checklists, financial preparations, etc., here are some good places to start:

    FEMA’s Ready program: https://www.ready.gov/

Which was named the friendliest city in Idaho a few years ago. Our wonderful town provides our residents the opportunity to retire here with us at the Restorium in our not-for-profit lodging.

We encourage our residents to continue their independent lifestyles to the best of their abilities while providing care and meeting their unique individual needs.

Parents may apply for the program at their children’s school—there are no qualifications.
