Why work for Boundary Community Hospital?
BONNERS FERRY, IDAHO
Formally established in 1893, Bonners Ferry is known for its beautiful scenery and welcoming environment. Called by the state governor, the “friendliest city in Idaho”, we can boast a small town atmosphere with modern conveniences surround by people who genuinely love the area and our community. Originally a steamboat port, the town quickly grew as gold miners, the lumber industry, and outdoor enthusiasts discovered this hidden treasure. Bonners Ferry is located in Boundary County, which is the most northern county in the state, bordering Washington, Canada, and Montana. The city has about 2,500 residents, with a population of around 10,000 in the county. About 75% of the county is state and federal land which allows almost any outdoor experience – including fishing, golfing, hiking, camping, snowmobiling, skiing, snowboarding, boating, biking, shooting, bird/wildlife watching, horseback riding, rafting, canoeing, swimming, photography, and so many more. Surrounded by the Purcell and Selkirk Mountains, there is beauty every which way you turn. In addition, about 30 miles south of us is the beautiful town of Sandpoint, known for its walking trails, pedestrian friendly city, Lake Pend Orielle, and Schweitzer Ski Mountain Resort.
