BOUNDARY COMMUNITY HOSPITAL

Boundary Community Hospital (BCH) was originally founded in 1907.  The current location of the hospital opened in 1955, with an expansion and remodel occurring in 1993.  As a Critical Access Hospital (CAH), our services are essential to the community.  We are a Level II STEMI, Level III Stroke, and Level IV Trauma hospital that can meet the needs of patients in these critically time sensitive areas.  We are DNV certified and ISO9001 certified.  Our Extended Care facility has won numerous awards, including 2019 Women’s Choice Award and 11 Schoonover Awards over the past 12 years.  We also were named as the Finest Employer by our community in Bonners Ferry Living Locals Finest 2019.

Our facility houses 28 beds in our Extended Care, 20 beds in our Acute Care, a 24/7 Emergency Department and a Rural Health Clinic.  We have a full lab associated with the Mayo Clinic with all new equipment from the 2019 remodel.  Our Diagnostic team offers 3D Mammography, 4D Ultrasound, 64 slice CAT scans, and mobile MRI in addition to traditional digital X-rays.  The Rehab department has therapists in Occupational, Speech, and Physical, seeing patients in all age ranges.
