Rural Health Clinic

Boundary Community Clinics is proud to be certified as a Rural Health Clinic (RHC) by the State of Idaho. This designation reflects our commitment to providing high-quality, accessible healthcare to the residents of Boundary County and surrounding communities.

Rural Health Clinics are specially designated to serve communities that are located outside of urban areas and have been identified as medically underserved or experiencing shortages of healthcare professionals. This certification helps ensure that individuals and families in our rural region have access to essential primary care services close to home.

At Boundary Community Clinics, our mission is to care for our community every day by investing in people, technology and facilities to provide compassionate, comprehensive care and to improve the health and well-being of the communities we proudly serve.

Our primary care providers are compassionate professionals dedicated to whole-person care that supports health, wellness, and quality of life. When you schedule an appointment with our team, you’ll receive personalized care tailored to your unique needs and goals, helping you live a healthier, fuller life.

Primary care is about building a trusted relationship with a provider who gets to know you over time. By understanding your health history, lifestyle, and current concerns, your provider can partner with you to help prevent illness, manage ongoing conditions, and guide you to the right treatment when you need it most.

We offer a wide range of services to meet the healthcare needs of individuals and families of all ages, including:

  • Family Medicine for adolescents, teens, adults, and seniors
  • Pediatric Care
  • Same-Day Appointments for coughs, colds, flu, minor cuts, and injuries

Sliding Scale Discount Program

Boundary Community Clinic believes that quality healthcare should be accessible to everyone. To support individuals and families who are uninsured, underinsured, or experiencing financial hardship, we offer a Sliding Fee Discount Program based on household size and income.

Our Sliding Fee Discount Program is designed to ensure that patients are not denied medically necessary services because of an inability to pay. Eligibility is determined using current Federal Poverty Guidelines and applies equally to all patients, regardless of age, gender, race, disability, religion, or national origin.

Patients may qualify for reduced fees for eligible clinic services by completing a Sliding Fee Discount application and providing documentation of household income and family size. Discounts are available to uninsured and self-pay patients and may also be available to insured patients with high out-of-pocket costs, depending on individual circumstances.

Discount eligibility is based solely on financial need and does not affect the quality of care received. Patients who qualify for assistance will receive the same high standard of care provided to all patients.

Applications and supporting documents are kept confidential and reviewed by authorized staff. Approved discounts are generally valid for six months, after which patients may reapply to determine continued eligibility.

Patients are encouraged to speak with our staff if they have questions about the program or need assistance completing an application. Our team is committed to working with patients to identify available resources and help ensure access to needed healthcare services.

Boundary Community Clinic is dedicated to providing compassionate, affordable, and accessible care to the communities we serve. No patient will be refused medically necessary services because of an inability to pay.

Please bring completed application, along with all required documentation, to the reception desk or to the hospital’s Patient Financial Department (PFS) department.  PFS is located in the administrative hallway of the hospital.  If you need financial assistance with any Boundary Community bill, you can speak to our PFS Counselor at (208) 267-3141 x4295.
